I'm Nadia Dandashi I was raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by my traditional Syrian father and Bolivian-American mother. I have an older sister who is a filmmaker living in Brooklyn, and a little brother who is eleven years younger than me, and communicates with me via viral memes. Although my parents were from two different worlds I still grew up under musical influences ranging from the Hansel and Gretl Opera, to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, to High school Musical, all the way to, of course, Glee. I chased the highs of musical theatre all the way to New York City where I attended Pace University to obtain my BFA in Musical Theatre. I'm very passionate about new work and the type of art that gives audiences new perspective by challenging the ways we think. I feel very lucky to be able to choose theatre as my medium of change through storytelling. I currently live in Brooklyn.
